No More Ugly | Hike to Barrenjoey Lighthouse Palm Beach

If you're thinking of a short day trip on the weekend to getaway from the urban life and take in some fresh ocean breeze, Palm Beach is what you should be putting into Google Maps. You can capture amazing views of Broken Bay, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and the Central Coast at Barrenjoey Lighthouse.

Barrenjoey Lighthouse is located at Sydney’s most northern point at Barrenjoey Head Palm Beach and the view from there is worth the short but steep trek up.

It takes 30 minutes each way from the Governor Phillip parking area. There is a 1km walking track to the top with amazing views of the coast or take the Smugglers track to the top which will make you sweat more but save you time. We highly recommend the scenic track though.

Access to the lighthouse is by tour only. But the view is already ace.
