Ridding the world of ugly. Ridding the world of cancer.

March 17, 2014

Here at No More Ugly our mission is to rid the world of ugly one thing at a time. Cancer is no exception.

1 in 2 Australian men and 1 in 3 Australian women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85 and it is the leading cause of death in Australia. We want to help make a difference and rid the world of cancer starting now. We are in full support of Cancer Council's North Shore Relay for Life that brings together the local community over an 18 hour overnight event with the mission to celebrate the survivors of cancer, remember those lost to cancer and fight back against this horrible disease.

It is the fundraising from events like Relay For Life that allow Cancer Council NSW to continue to support cancer survivors, their carers and families through their cancer journeys.

Here are the ways you can get involved to help us rid the world of cancer and make a difference:

  • Register a team for relay - create a team with your friends and family and fundraise for cancer. All money raised goes to Cancer Council’s research, education and support programs, every cent you raise will make a difference. Teams can camp out overnight and join in on all the fun activities and moving ceremonies throughout the event.
  • Volunteer on the day - volunteer to help out on the day of the Relay and help make it a successful and inspirational day.
  • Be a sponsor - if you're in the corporate world, Relay offers businesses a great platform to get their name out into the local community.
  • Sponsor a team - if registering a team is not for you, you can always donate to an existing team and help them reach their fundraising goal. Find a list of teams here.
